We would like to publish photo's that represent the
Quality, Life and History of Ballina

Types of Photo's

Attractions (Ballina places that visitors and locals new to town may like to find)
Events (Local general public events. If you include close ups of people please make sure the subjects agree to appear in your photo and inform them they will appear on this website)
History (Ballina significant places and old photographs with historical aspects)
People (Well known locals, resident or visiting famous people, Genuine "Elvis sightings" only! We will try to accept everybody however please do indicate why you believe they should appear in the gallery and please do make sure they agree to have their photo published)
Places around Ballina (Beautiful and Iconic photos)
Views (Aerials, around town, from high places, unusual weather events, special sunrise etc)
Memorable historically newsworthy events, not day to day news. (We will soon accept day to day news through our news pages we are working towards that)
Please don't send in anything you would not show your Grandmother

How to add Photo's

If you would like us to add an image to the Photo Gallery
Please read our Terms of use and agree to the terms on the upload form.
In brief images must be owned by yourself and you agree to give all rights to any use,
We will give you credit for the photo on the website unless you indicate otherwise.
Photo's may be published "name withheld" however we can't accept anonymous photo's
If your photo makes the front page we will also credit a web link of your choice
directly to your business, community group, facebook page. etc.

Any better image sent to the gallery may replace the front page then after we have a few
good images season depending we may rotate them along with the credit/weblink.

Suitable formats are JPG, PNG or GIF
Please size all images to 640px width
We appreciate if you re-size the images to 640px width as it saves us time however
if you can't that is ok. 640 width x 480 height is best however usually any sensible
portrait height is suitable. We find JPG format is most compatible.
Write a description of each photo (just a few words or under 50 words)

If you have a large number of images of a local Ballina event we will accept up to
60 best images if you seriously have more please contact us.
Please submit any more than 4 images in ZIP format and briefly report some
details of the event such as What Where When Who Why.
If there is a photo in our Gallery you believe is fake, offensive, or in breach
of copyright we would like to help immediately please contact us.
If you would like us to remove your photo from the gallery please contact us.
If there are people or organizations involved as a courtesy please email them
or notify them through Facebook etc where they appear.
